It involves assisting in developing structuring solutions for our customers and projects, including direct support for project finance models. As well, the role will support deep research on opportunities for business development including geographic, customer, market, and competition analyses. The position will also support the engagement of customer relationship development leaders within the Global Business Development group and other activities as directed by the Deputy Chief Commercial Officer or Executive Director of Project Finance in support of the Commercial Division initiatives.Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:\nAssist in gathering information to identify and research business development opportunities.\nConduct energy market analysis and competitive research activities by collecting data, organizing findings, and preparing summaries for review.\nWork with other divisions to support Global Business Development team priorities.\nDevelop strategies for structuring customer and project solutions.\nBuild and maintain project financial models and contribute to the preparation of business cases supporting customer relationship manager and structuring leads.\nPrepare market (geographic, market segment, etc.) forecasts by compiling data from market research, historical results, and industry information.\nConduct research support for senior team member and maintain/develop Global Business Development team marketing materials.\nWork with the strategic finance team, cost estimating team, and engineering and licensing teams to help verify inputs and calculations in project and customer financial models.\nDevelop presentation materials, including slides, financial analyses, and forecasts, for review by senior team members and leadership.\nSupport senior team members as they prepare for presentations to leadership, providing updated data, exhibits, and backup analysis as needed.\nMaintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.\nPerform other duties as assigned by manager.\nJob Profile Minimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum five years of relevant work experience.\nExperience in building or maintaining financial models (including project debt and tax equity) and supporting presentations to leadership.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.\nProficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning, with strong attention to detail.\nLocation: 9801 Washingtonian Blvd, Gaithersburg, MD\nWork Site Expectations: 5 days in office\nTravel Expectations: Up to 10% as needed\nHours: Standard office hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm ET, Monday - Friday\nCompensation\nAs required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.).
