The Planning & Scheduling Lead will monitor and measure the schedule using established processes and industry best practices to optimize the schedule and ensure overall schedule fidelity. They will also conduct schedule analyses and variance reviews to determine schedule impacts and reporting to management. The role provides technical direction to personnel who establish, implement, monitor, and carry out program and project planning and scheduling activities. The primary objective is to support and strengthen project controls best practices and guidelines across the organization in support of current and future programs and projects.Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:\nLead planning and scheduling processes, procedures, and toolsets within the project controls department, including scoping, coordination, implementation, and support of planning and scheduling activities.\nProvide guidance and direction to planning and scheduling resources for the effective and timely execution of assigned tasks and help optimize project controls resources to meet deliverable deadlines.\nWork with other project controls SMEs to establish, implement, and monitor best practices and guidelines related to planning and scheduling across the organization.\nSupport Business Development efforts with project controls needs during initial client engagements, proposals, and project initiation and planning phases.\nEnsure effective communication between the planning and scheduling team and individual project teams or functional organizations.\nWork with the planning and scheduling team to establish and conduct project controls training for internal resources and project teams as needed.\nMaintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.\nPerform other duties as assigned by manager.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in management, business, engineering, science, or related discipline from an accredited university or college.\nTypically, eight years of project controls and scheduling experience supporting large and complex organizations, programs, or projects and working within a Project Management Office environment.\nExperience using software applications for schedule management (e.g., Primavera P6). \nDemonstrated ability to lead work efforts, coordinate priorities, and provide guidance to peers or junior resources.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting project controls activities in a nuclear, engineering, or highly regulated environment.\nExperience developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated project schedules.\nFamiliarity with project controls best practices, forecasting, progress measurement, and schedule risk awareness.\nExperience supporting proposals, client engagements, or project initiation activities.\nStrong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.\nExperience training or mentoring team members in scheduling tools or processes.\nLocation: 9801 Washingtonian Blvd, Gaithersburg, MD\nWork Schedule: 5 days a week in office \nTravel Expectations: Up to 10% as needed\nHours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri\nCompensation\nAs required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.).
