This position performs simulator model development, simulator integration, simulator testing, simulator maintenance, and subcontract oversight. Experience specific to Thermal-Hydraulic Simulation is required.Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities\nCollaborate in planning, scheduling, and organization of detailed phases of engineering work.\nCollaborate in the technical oversight and direction of internal or external design teams.\nFacilitate and assist in the assessment of customer needs and captures requirements and functions of the electrical system for nuclear generating stations.\nExecute simulator assignments with clear and specified objectives; utilizes conventional specification and/or Interface Control Documents and plans.\nRecommend system design alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures from an assembly, transportation, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and/or decommissioning perspective.\nLeads reviews and presentations for internal company design reviews and customer design reviews regarding simulator design.\nOrganize engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, contractors, or other groups as required.\nDevelop/maintain plant simulation models.\nDevelop the operator training simulator requirements.\nConduct the operator training simulator verification and validation activities.\nWrite simulator technical reports and testing reports.\nReview subcontractor technical reports and other deliverables.\nMaintain simulator hardware and software.\nMaintain simulator configuration control tools on GitLab.\nMaintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.\nPerform other duties as assigned by manager.\nJob Profile Minimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical/nuclear/electrical engineering or related degree from an accredited institution.\n15+ years’ experience in operator training simulator development.\nProficient experience in thermal-hydraulic simulation.\nExcellent simulator software and hardware debugging capability.\nExcellent knowledge in nuclear power plant operations.\nFamiliar with distributed control system.\nLocation: 5303 Spectrum Dr, FrederickMD\nWork Schedule: 4 days a week in office \nTravel Expectations: Up to 5% as needed\nHours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri\nCompensation\nAs required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.).
