position below:\n\nJob Title: Project Planner\n\nLocation: Abuja\n\nEmployment Type: Full Time\n\nJob Summary\n\nThe Project Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules and programs across all construction projects.\nThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and experienced in the construction environment.\nWorking closely with project managers, site teams, and clients, the role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with contractual obligations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare and submit regular progress reports, schedule updates, and earned value analyses.\nMonitor and track project progress against approved schedules and report deviations promptly.\nCoordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams to ensure schedule alignment.\nMaintain resource-loaded schedules and support resource planning and allocation.\nReview subcontractor programmes and integrate them into the master project schedule.\nAttend project meetings and provide planning input and schedule status updates.\nEnsure all planning documentation is properly filed and version-controlled.\nAssist in the preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis documentation.\nPrepare and maintain baseline programmes, progress schedules, and look-ahead plans.\nPerform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks, delays, and mitigation measures.\nDevelop detailed project schedules, programmes, and work breakdown structures (WBS) for all assigned projects.\nSupport tender/bid teams in preparing project schedules and phasing plans for new proposals.\n\nRequirements\n\nExperience in delay analysis and preparation of EOT claims — an advantage.\nRelevant professional certification (e.g. COREN, NIOB, PMP, or equivalent) — MANDATORY.\nStrong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project lifecycles.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nMinimum of 8 years of experience in project planning within the construction industry.\nExcellent analytical, numerical, and report-writing skills.\nProficiency in planning software — Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project — MANDATORY.\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.\nExperience with high-rise structures and infrastructure projects — Added Advantage.\n\nKey COMPeETENCIES:\n\nProject Scheduling & Programme
