We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next.\nABOUT THE ROLE:\nAs an Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the health of our server and network infrastructure for Data Centers. You will be responsible for our two most important data center operations metrics: mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to repair (MTTR). You are great at following directions, are a fast learner and are super attentive to details. You are accessible via cell phone and willing to get onsite when there are emergencies as needed. You understand all aspects of the equipment you are responsible for to drive efficiencies and optimizations where necessary to simplify and improve our server intake and repair processes.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerforming troubleshooting and monitoring of the servers, diagnose and repair. Rack and stack of data center network equipment during build out.\nMaintaining our network infrastructure which includes network gear swaps, troubleshooting optics/fiber links and repairing them. \nManage, response and resolution of data center operations tickets used cross functionally via Jira.\nCreate and Maintain documentation of tasks and standard operating procedures\nReceipt and Decommissioning of data center hardware.\nInstallation of racks, servers and switches; this includes staging racks in place, cabling, power up and handoff of hardware to the provisioning team for customer capacity allocation.\nMaintain Warehouse inventory and asset management using our internal application.\nVendor returns for infrastructure under and out of warranty\nManage spare parts inventory within the data center\nDefine, design, and implement network layouts and solutions within our data centers.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\n2+ years of experience working with server, storage, compute and network hardware.\n2+ Years of experience troubleshooting and repairing servers and networking infrastructure.\n1+ years of experience in Inventory Management, and ordering, receiving and shipping server and network equipment. (good to have)\nStrong linux skills including \nMust be able to lift 75 lbs\nAvailability and willingness to work night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nExperience being on-call and ability to respond to critical events as needed.\nExperience leading Data Center Infrastructure projects.\nCurious to always learn new things within the Data Center World\nExcellent prioritization and time management skills\nAble to work in a fast paced environment and detail oriented\n1+ years of experience in Structured Cabling Copper/Fiber.\n1+ years of experience in Power and Cooling concepts inside the data center.\nSpaceXAI is an equal opportunity employer.
