We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next.\nOSP ENGINEER\nThis role will support the design, documentation, and coordination of outside plant (OSP) fiber optic infrastructure. Focuses on producing accurate construction drawings, route maps, and as-built records using AutoCAD and GIS tools.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPrepare and revise OSP fiber design drawings, conduit layouts, splice diagrams, and permitting packages in AutoCAD\nCreate and maintain GIS-based route maps, asset inventories, and spatial data for fiber pathways, vaults, and handholes\nAssist with field surveys, redline markups, and conversion of field data into final drawings and GIS layers\nSupport BOM development, quantity take-offs, and basic loss-budget calculations\nCoordinate with senior engineers, construction teams, and utilities on design changes and as-built updates\nEnsure drawings and GIS data comply with company standards, TIA/BICSI guidelines, and local permitting requirements\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nAssociate’s degree in engineering, geospatial technology, or scientific discipline\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nExperience with GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, or equivalent) for mapping and spatial analysis\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD (preferably Civil 3D or similar) for utility/telecom drawings\nBasic understanding of fiber optic OSP concepts (conduit systems, aerial/buried placement, splicing, and terminations)\nStrong attention to detail and ability to produce clear, accurate technical drawings\nPrior internship or project experience in telecom, utility, or civil infrastructure\nFamiliarity with fiber strand counts, duct banks, and standard OSP construction practices\nExperience with Google Earth, KML/KMZ files, or CAD-to-GIS data exchange\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nWillingness to perform occasional field work and site visits\nSpaceXSI is an equal opportunity employer.
