And that is something to be excited about!\nYour role and responsibilities:\n As a Software Developer, you will help build out the pennylane.ai ecosystem of products. The goal of pennylane.ai is to help pioneer quantum software development as a discipline and spread the adoption of PennyLane, an open-source framework for quantum machine learning, quantum computing, and quantum chemistry. No quantum software experience is required.\nDevelop, maintain, and expand pennylane.ai and other websites using the latest front-end technologies.\nCollaborate with product, design, and technical writers to develop and launch new features for our platform.\nEnsure robust design and implementation of web interfaces across mobile and desktop devices.\nTake ownership of specific features and modules within the pennylane.ai ecosystem.\nContribute to code reviews and maintain high standards for automated testing.\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive the product roadmap forward.\nArchitect scalable frontend systems and lead technical transitions to modern frameworks or patterns.\nBasic qualifications and experience:BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field.\nYears of Experience:Intermediate: 3+ years of professional software development experience.\nSenior: 6+ years of professional software development experience.\n\nTech Stack: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Gatsby and Tailwind.\nExperience integrating with APIs using RESTful services and/or GraphQL.\nA strong commitment to code quality through automated testing.\nProduct-minded, self-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\n Preferred qualifications and experience:Expertise with Next.js, React and Tailwind CSS.\nExperience in building and customizing responsive themes for Sphinx using Jinja2 templating.\nCompetent with CI/CD using GitHub Actions.\nCompetent with backend languages like Python.\nExperience using containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code.\nDeep understanding of Internationalization (i18n) and Web Accessibility (a11y).\nPartner with Product and Design leadership to define long-term technical strategy and UI/UX standards.\nActively mentor developers on the team and foster a culture of continuous technical growth.\nThis is for a new position. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 100,000 - 140,000 CAD for intermediate candidates and 150,000 - 180,000 CAD for senior candidates. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.Our values are important.
