The position is accountable for advancing assigned projects with urgency, removing obstacles, and achieving timely completion within approved scope, budget, quality, and compliance requirements. identify delays and take timely action to maintain progress and keep stakeholders appropriately informed.\nProactively identify and resolve project obstacles, escalating decisions or issues promptly when they cannot be resolved within the position’s authority.\nCoordinate and hold contractors accountable for mobilization, schedule, quality, site requirements, correction of deficiencies, and timely completion.\nPlan and bid for new construction, remodels, and equipment installation using contractors or internal resources.\nOperates an assigned company vehicle to travel to and from project sites during scheduled work hours.\nAssist in compiling data for Xanterra’s annual Capital Expense Account (CEA) project list.\nProvide feedback to leadership on opportunities to improve the project execution process in the spirit of continuous improvement.\nMaintain accurate project schedules, budget forecasts, status reports, risk items, commitments, and completion projections for all assigned projects.\nEnsure that departmental and contracted projects are complying with all Xanterra, NPS, and Federal laws and regulations regarding HAZMAT, HAZCOM, risk management, confined space, lockout-tagout, ergonomics, ADA access, and vehicle use.\nWork closely with National Park Service Project Managers on engineering projects, abatements, and compliance issues within National Park Service jurisdiction.\nAssist in the planning and evaluation of proposed capital improvements.\nComply and commit to all Xanterra and NPS (as required) environmental policies and procedures.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMinimum of three years of experience in facility management, construction management, or project management within a multi-unit operation. \nAbility to read blueprints and understand CAD drawings.\nKnowledge of construction, mechanical systems, and specialized trade skills.\nExperience working in project management including cost estimating, bid notices, and contract negotiations.\nExperience using project management, maintenance management, or capital planning software to track schedules, budgets, and project documentation.\nDemonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.\nPossess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with Xanterra GCR Vehicle Policy.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious experience as a Facility or Project Manager in a multi-unit hotel/resort operation.\nExperience coordinating contractors, consultants, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.\nFamiliarity with hospitality operations and the unique challenges of executing projects within occupied guest-facing facilities.\nExperience with project budgeting, procurement, contract administration, and change order management.\nExperience managing renovation, infrastructure, utility, or capital improvement projects exceeding $100,000 in value.\nKnowledge of building systems, life safety systems, ADA requirements, environmental compliance, and construction-related codes and regulations.\nPhysical Requirements include:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is:\nPROJECT MANAGER\nNot Applicable\nOccasionally\nFrequently\nConstantly\nStand\nX\nWalk\nX\nSit\nX\nHandling\nX\nReach outward\nX\nReach above shoulder\nX\nClimb\nX\nCrawl\nX\nSquat/kneel\nX\nBend\nX\nLift/Carry\n10 lbs or less\nX\n11-20 lbs\nX\n21-50 lbs\nX\n51-100 lbs\nX\nOver 100 lbs\nX\nPush/Pull\n12 lbs or less\nX\n13-25 lbs\nX\n26-40 lbs\nX\n41-100 lbs\nX\nNot applicable\nActivity does not apply to this position\nOccasionally\nPosition requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0-2.5 hrs per day)\nFrequently\nPosition requires this activity from 33%-66% of the time (2.5-5.5 hrs)\nConstantly\nPosition requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5 hrs +)\n\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
