Our team of over 400 professionals drives innovation and global impact.\nOur mission is to apply technology and smart data to responsibly discover natural capital, support sustainable growth, and accelerate a just energy transition.\nPosition Purpose\nWe are looking for a Junior Geophysical Data Processorto join our Geophysics team in Madrid.\nThe successful candidate will support the processing, quality control and analysis of geophysical datasets, contributing to the accurate and timely delivery of projects.\nThis position offers an opportunity to develop technical expertise in geophysical data processing, work with specialised technologies and collaborate with experienced professionals in an international environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the processing and quality control of geophysical data collected during survey operations.\nAssist in reviewing, validating and organising datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency.\nIdentify data anomalies, inconsistencies and potential quality issues, escalating them when necessary.\nApply established processing workflows, procedures and technical standards.\nSupport the preparation of processed datasets, maps, reports and technical deliverables.\nMaintain accurate documentation of processing activities, methodologies and results.\nCollaborate with geophysicists, project managers and other technical teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing data quality and processing efficiency.\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Geophysics, Geology, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical or scientific discipline.\nPrevious experience in geophysical data processing, data analysis or related technical activities would be an advantage.\nBasic understanding of geophysical principles, data processing techniques or numerical analysis.\nFamiliarity with data analysis software, GIS tools or programming languages such as Python would be an advantage.\nGood command of English and Spanish, both written and spoken.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality.\nAbility to work with large datasets and follow structured technical procedures.\nGood organisational and time-management skills.\nWillingness to learn new technologies, tools and methodologies.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.\nAdaptability and a proactive approach to learning and professional development.\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to join an international company specialising in geophysical mapping and advanced technologies.\nExposure to geophysical projects and specialised data processing methodologies.\nProfessional development and learning opportunities within an experienced technical team.\nA collaborative, multicultural working environment.\nThe opportunity to contribute to projects supporting responsible natural resource management and sustainable development.\nEqual Opportunity\nXcalibur Smart Mapping is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive workplace.
