This paid internship provides an opportunity to apply data analytics skills to real-world utility operations, specifically focused on distribution system performance, reliability, and reporting. The intern will work alongside engineers and analysts supporting EDSP initiatives, including analysis of outage data, reliability metrics, and asset/system performance. The role offers hands-on experience transforming large datasets into actionable insights that support operational decision-making and continuous improvement efforts. Through collaboration with cross-functional partners (engineering, operations, and data teams), the intern will gain exposure to how analytics supports safe, reliable, and efficient electric distribution service. This position will also provide opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and presentation of results to internal stakeholders.\nTypical intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to:\nAnalyze distribution system performance data (e.g., outages, reliability metrics, asset performance) to identify trends and insights\nDevelop and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI and Databricks\nSupport data validation, cleansing, and preparation across multiple data sources\nCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to support data-driven decision-making\nPerform ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support EDSP initiatives\nDocument analytical methods and present findings to team members\nThis position is for a May 31, 2027 start date.
