Join us in powering a better world with inertial fusion!\nThis is a full-time, onsite role based at our headquarters in Denver, CO.\nHVAC Technician performs preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoots, and services industrial HVAC systems. Technician performs tests and analysis of data to assure the proper functioning of equipment and provides recommendations as appropriate. Recommendations shall include remaining life expectancy, potential replacement and repair costs as well as business interruption risks. Must be well organized, communicate in a clear and professional manner with all visitors, colleagues and leaders.\nResponsibilities\nProject Management: Oversees large commercial installations, new construction layouts, and energy-efficiency retrofits.\nSupervision & Training: Leads teams of apprentices and journeymen, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.\nSystem Design & Permitting: Interprets blueprints, designs custom modifications, and pulls official municipal permits.\nAdvanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, digital, and central energy management controls. \nMaintain chilled water and centralized air handling units through regularly scheduled preventative maintenance activities \nPerform coil cleanings, filter changes, test and balance activities, sensor calibrations, and UV bulb replacements \nBelt alignments and replacement, drain pan treatments, damper calibration and repairs, cleaning interior of AHU \nPerform electrical safety inspections\nLeads and helps other facilities technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems that incorporate pneumatic, digital, and central energy management system controls \nAbility to create cost and downtime estimates for major repairs and/or equipment replacement \nPerform work to the highest industry and manufacturer recommended standards \nFollow all applicable federal, state, and local safety guidelines including, but not limited to, lock-out/tag-out, OSHA, confined space, PPE, etc.\nCompletes and documents all work and labor time using Engineering’s CMMS\nAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with the Sr. Manager of Facility Management about equipment conditions\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma, or equivalent required\n5-8 years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or a healthcare environment minimum required\n3- 5 years of documented hands-on work experience, including time spent as an apprentice and journeyman\nEPA Sect 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification Required\nValid Driver’s License in good standing\nMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted
