You will be working with a collaborative team on existing and new LEO satellites constellations.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nWork with a team of engineers to monitor and maintain the Globalstar space asset of multiple generations of satellites \nEstablish and maintain subject matter expertise in the Globalstar Satellite Data Handling Subsystem \nWrite and maintain satellite operations procedures and scripts \nParticipate in real time operations for nominal operations, anomaly detection, and recovery \nMonitor satellite operations in real-time to confirm nominal performance or recommend contingency actions \nDevelop and maintain tools to streamline satellite and ground operations \nSupport development for new onboard algorithms (experience in C++, Ada, and Python are highly favored) \nPrepare commanding requests for operators in accordance with established operations plan \nOversee the execution of commanding as necessary \nPerform all required telemetry monitoring and analysis, both short and long-term, in order to assure satellite safety \nWhat you will bring to Globalstar\nBachelor's or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Aerospace, or a closely related Engineering field \n10+ years of experience with LEO satellite data handling subsystems \n10+ years of experience monitoring and maintaining LEO satellite systems \nExperience troubleshooting space-based systems \nExperience reviewing and troubleshooting control algorithms \nExperience with Thales Alenia Space (TAS) Data Handling Subsystems \nIt’s a bonus if you have:\nMaster's or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Aerospace, or a closely related Engineering field \n15+ years of experience with LEO satellite data handling subsystems \nRequirements:\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer \nThis position requires access to technologies and technical data subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
