IT Business Analyst (Banking / Financial Services)
Immediately start
Eindhoven / Working from home (hybrid)
Are you a business analyst who loves turning complex processes into working solutions? Join a leading financial services organisation, where you help turn business needs into clear processes, validated prototypes, and a prioritised delivery backlog.
You’ll work in close, continuous iteration with the Solution Architect: mapping and challenging how the business works today and tomorrow, and quickly testing solution ideas in prototypes. The outcome is an MVP-ready backlog that carries into implementation with the delivery team.
What you’ll do
Run workshops and interviews with business stakeholders to capture and model as-is and to-be processes
Identify pain points, manual steps, handovers, data needs, and control points, and make assumptions and dependencies explicit
Translate regulatory and policy requirements (e.g. KYC/AML, GDPR, DORA, audit and control) into process and system requirements
Work in short iteration cycles with the Solution Architect: map, prototype, validate with the business, refine, including user flows, wireframes, fit-gap, and technical constraints
Run demos and feedback sessions with stakeholders and turn their input into requirements and decisions
Convert validated processes and prototypes into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria (Given/When/Then), and prioritise the MVP scope with the Product Owner towards the April release
Act as the bridge between business and delivery team: support refinement, sprint planning, test preparation, UAT, and acceptance, and manage change requests, risks, and decisions
Tech stack
Process modelling
Jira / Azure DevOps and Confluence
Prototyping and design tools (e.g. Figma)
Agile delivery (Scrum / SAFe)
APIs, integration patterns, data models, and cloud platforms (basic technical literacy)
Requirements
This is you
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in banking, financial services, or insurance
Proven track record of taking projects from process analysis through to a delivered backlog and implementation
Hands-on experience in agile delivery (Scrum/SAFe) and in a mixed client/vendor team
Strong process modelling (BPMN) and requirements engineering skills (user stories, acceptance criteria)
Good understanding of banking domains (e.g. onboarding, lending or leasing, payments, CRM, customer servicing) and of the regulatory context
Pragmatic and fast: you prefer a testable prototype over a long document, and you can simplify complex topics for senior stakeholders
Collaborative: you work as a pair with the architect and challenge constructively
Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
