If you’re excited about building something special with us, we’d love to hear from you.\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Finance Operator to lead the day-to-day finance function and support the continued growth of Xelix. This role will be responsible for managing core financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, driving process improvements and automation, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.\nWhat you'll be doing\nFinancial Control, Consolidation & Month-End Close\nOwn and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across the Group.\n\nTake full ownership of the close processes for both the UK and US entities.\n\nPrepare and maintain monthly group consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.\n\nEnsure accurate preparation of management accounts and supporting schedules.\n\nReview journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.\n\nLead the year-end audit process and coordinate with external auditors.\n\nAct as the primary owner of the general ledger and overall financial integrity of the business.\n\nManagement Reporting & Business Insights\nPrepare monthly management reporting packs for executive leadership.\n\nDeliver analysis on financial performance, trends, variances and KPIs.\n\nSupport budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.\n\nDevelop and maintain financial dashboards and reporting frameworks.\n\nRevenue Operations & Enterprise Customer Invoicing\nOwn the end-to-end customer invoicing process for enterprise customers.\n\nEnsure accurate and timely billing in line with contract terms and commercial agreements.\n\nPartner with all Commercial teams to maintain billing accuracy, contract governance, and customer master data integrity.\n\nMonitor accounts receivable performance and support collections activities.\n\nDrive improvements to revenue recognition, billing controls and invoicing processes.\n\nSystems, Automation & Process Improvement\nIdentify and implement opportunities to automate, streamline and improve finance processes.\n\nLead finance systems enhancements and integrations across the business.\n\nDrive the adoption of AI-enabled tools and workflows across the finance function.\n\nImprove reporting capabilities through better use of financial and operational data.\n\nEstablish scalable processes and controls that support rapid company growth.\n\nFinance Leadership & Business Partnership\nServe as the go-to person for all day-to-day finance matters across the business.\n\nProvide trusted financial guidance to stakeholders across the organisation.\n\nDrive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.\n\nAct as a key deputy and trusted partner to the VP Finance.\n\nWhat you’ll bring\nQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).\n\n6+ years of progressive finance experience.\n\nExperience managing month-end close, multi-entity accounting, and consolidation processes.\n\nExperience in SaaS, technology, or high-growth businesses.\n\nExperience implementing finance systems, automation initiatives, or transformation projects.\n\nPassion for leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve finance processes and reporting.\n\nFamiliarity with Xero, HubSpot, and modern finance technology stacks.\n\nWhat we offer in return\nCompetitive salary of £60,000-£85,000 depending on experience\n27 days of annual leave (including 3 days Christmas closing), with the option to roll over 3 days\nHybrid working with 2 days a week from our dog-friendly Hoxton office and on-site gym\nComprehensive private medical & dental cover with Vitality\nEnhanced parental leave pay\nLearning & development culture - £1,000 personal annual budget\nWe’re carbon-neutral and are working towards ambitious carbon reduction goals\nLots of team socials & activities\nAnnual team retreat\n\nWant to learn more?\nAbout us\n\nXelix blog\n\nXelix news\n\nXelix glassdoor\n\nWe believe that people from diverse backgrounds, with different identities and experiences make our company and product better.
