As a trusted financial partner backed by top-tier global investors, Xendit processes high-throughput transaction flows for leading global platforms including Meta, Traveloka, ByteDance, Wise, and Grab, building resilient payment infrastructure to drive regional commerce forward.\nRole Purpose \nThe MLRO is the appointed Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CFT) officer responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing effectiveness of Xendit Thailand's AML/CFT, sanctions and financial crime compliance framework. The role acts as the primary liaison with the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), law enforcement agencies and other regulators e.g. Bank of Thailand (BOT).\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCountry Office Responsibilities:\n\nTH operations Responsibilities:\n\nAct as the appointed MLRO and maintain overall accountability for the AML/CFT framework and a point of contact to AMLO.\nDevelop, implement and continuously enhance AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud and financial crime policies.\nPerform enterprise-wide AML/CFT risk assessments and ensure mitigating controls remain effective.\nLead regulatory inspections, audits and information requests from AMLO and other authorities.\nProvide AML/CFT advisory support for new products including payment gateway, direct acquiring, payment orchestration, payouts, remittance (where applicable), QR payments and cross-border services.\nPrepare AML/CFT MI reports, KRIs and Board/Management Committee reporting.\nLead remediation actions arising from audits, regulatory reviews and internal assessments.\nDevelop & Oversight AML/CFT training programmes and foster a strong compliance culture.\nResponsible for AML reporting & support BOT regulatory reporting.\n\nOversee Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), ongoing monitoring and customer risk rating.\nHandle escalations from the Merchant Operations (MO) team regarding onboarding of merchants.\nHandle name-screening escalations from L1 analysts during real-time monitoring.\nHandle escalations from L1 analysts during post-transaction monitoring.\nReview STR investigations escalated from L1 analysts and prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and regulatory filings to AMLO.\nGovern sanctions screening (customer and transaction), adverse media screening, and PEP reviews.\n\nKey Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management, Compliance or related discipline.\nAt least 8 years' experience in AML/CFT, financial crime compliance or regulatory compliance within banks, payment service providers, fintech or financial institutions.\nExperience engaging directly with AMLO or other financial regulators.\nStrong knowledge of the Payment Systems Act, AMLO AML/CFT requirements, sanctions obligations and relevant international standards (FATF).\nProfessional certification such as ACAMS, ICA or equivalent is preferred.\nCore Competencies\nStrong regulatory judgement and risk management mindset.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.\nCommercially minded while maintaining regulatory independence.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced fintech environment.\nHigh integrity and sound ethical standards.\nAuthority\nThe MLRO has authority to escalate material AML/CFT issues directly, Head of Compliance, senior management and the Board, request information from all business units, require remediation of AML/CFT control weaknesses, and independently determine STR filing
