You will actively test AI tools, automate workflows, and leverage workplace data to turn insights into recommendations, directly shaping how workplace operations evolve across Xero's global footprint.\nThe team / how they connect\nYou will join a lean, globally distributed Workplace Experience team that collaborates closely on systems, standards, and vendor partnerships. Locally in San Mateo, you will act as the primary operational point of contact for the leadership team while partnering with the broader People Experience team to deliver moments that foster connection and culture. Together, the team shares expertise across regional and global workstreams to build consistency and continuous improvement.\nThe team is currently working on / Initially, you will focus on\nAutomating day-to-day administrative workflows and workplace operations using artificial intelligence tools and templates.\n\nManaging key local vendor relationships across facilities management, cleaning, catering, and security to maintain service level agreements.\n\nAnalysing workplace metrics, including occupancy, utilisation rates, and vendor cost-per-head, to guide strategic investment decisions.\n\nManaging ISO 27001 compliance and health, safety, security, and environment requirements to keep the site audit-ready.\n\nWhere and how you can work\nThis role is based in our San Mateo office. We offer a hybrid working arrangement that combines the flexibility of working from home with dedicated in-office collaboration days to build connection and community[cite: 1, 2, 7].\nHere are some of the things we are looking for\nA strong background in workplace or facilities management, with a track record of operating autonomously in local markets.\n\nProven experience in managing vendor performance, enforcing service level agreements, and conducting structured reviews.\n\nActive experience using artificial intelligence tools and workplace technology platforms, such as visitor management, access control, and desk booking systems.\n\nSkill in interpreting workplace data to generate actionable recommendations for leadership rather than standard reporting.\n\nCommercial acumen with experience managing operational budgets, tracking actuals against forecasts, and building financial cases for change.\n\nFamiliarity with health, safety, security, and environment standards alongside information security compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001.\n\nCompensation & Total Rewards\nAt Xero, we value the impact and skills you bring to the team.
