The Extended Care Teacher provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children while supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to make a meaningful impact while growing professionally in the Early Childhood Education field.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide attentive supervision and care to children during extended care hours.\nMaintain a safe, positive, nurturing, and welcoming classroom environment.\nPlan and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, social interaction, and development.\nSupport children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through daily activities and interactions.\nFollow established classroom routines, schedules, policies, and procedures.\nObserve children's behavior and respond to individual needs in a patient, positive, and appropriate manner.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.\nCommunicate professionally and respectfully with parents and guardians regarding children's daily activities and needs.\nWork collaboratively with teachers, supervisors, and other team members to provide consistent care and support.\nAssist with classroom transitions, meals/snacks, activities, and other daily routines as needed.\nParticipate in required professional development and training opportunities.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\n Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred, or willingness to obtain an Infant/Toddler CDA.\nPrevious experience working with young children in an early childhood education, preschool, childcare, daycare, or similar setting.\nAbility to provide patient, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nDependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.\nAbility to follow classroom procedures, safety requirements, and program expectations.\nCPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.\nCompensation\n$16.35 per hour\nWhy Join Xiente?\nAt Xiente, we are committed to creating supportive learning environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
