Strengthen Community.\nAre you creative, energetic, and passionate about helping young people thrive?\nXiente is seeking an IPS Activity Coordinator to develop and lead engaging activities for youth ages 10-18 participating in our Intensive Prevention Services (IPS) program.\nIn this role, you’ll create meaningful experiences that help young people build confidence, strengthen social-emotional skills, develop positive relationships, and connect with their communities. We’re looking for someone who can bring creativity, consistency, compassion, and positive energy to every interaction.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPlan Engaging Youth Activities\nCreate and maintain a structured calendar of activities aligned with IPS program goals.\nDesign fun, age-appropriate, and trauma-informed programming.\nDevelop activities focused on life skills, teamwork, social-emotional learning, and positive youth development.\nAdapt programming based on the interests, abilities, and individual needs of participating youth.\nEngage & Mentor Youth\nFacilitate individual and group activities in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.\nBuild positive, trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.\nEncourage participation and model positive behavior and healthy peer interactions.\nHelp youth build confidence, communication skills, and meaningful connections.\nCollaborate with Families & the IPS Team\nWork closely with IPS Case Managers, counselors, and program leadership.\nEnsure activities support participants' individual service plans and overall program goals.\nCommunicate with families to promote involvement and reinforce youth progress.\nParticipate in team meetings, trainings, and interdisciplinary planning.\nDocumentation & Program Support\nMaintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and progress notes.\nEnsure required documentation meets applicable program, city, and state requirements.\nTrack youth participation and engagement to support program improvement.\nHelp maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for youth.\nBuild Community Connections\nPartner with community organizations, recreation centers, cultural institutions, and service providers to expand programming opportunities.\nHelp coordinate off-site activities, special events, and guest speakers.\nRepresent Xiente professionally when working with community partners.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nEducation & Experience\nAssociate Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field OR equivalent experience working directly with youth in community-based or prevention programs.\nPrevious experience facilitating youth activities, recreational programming, workshops, or groups.\nExperience working with at-risk youth, families, or community organizations.\nSkills\nWe're looking for someone who is:\nCreative and enthusiastic about youth programming.\nAble to engage and build rapport with youth ages 10-18.\nOrganized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities.\nA strong communicator and collaborative team member.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, community-based environment.\nSkilled in maintaining documentation and accurate records.\nAble to support crisis prevention and de-escalation using trauma-informed and restorative approaches.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with Philadelphia neighborhoods and youth-serving systems.\nExperience with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), restorative practices, or trauma-informed care.\nBilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.\nValid driver's license and ability to assist with off-site programming, if applicable.\nCompensation\n$20.00 per hour\nEquivalent to $41,600 annually\nWhy This Role Matters\nThe IPS Activity Coordinator is more than an activity planner.
