We value individuals who ask questions, challenge the status quo, and want to grow while making a real difference.\nAbout the Role\nThe Sr. Manager, IT Systems Engineering leads the team responsible for designing, securing, automating, and operating XiFin’s enterprise infrastructure supporting healthcare SaaS platforms.\nThis role combines technical expertise with people leadership across Linux systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, automation, container platforms, and infrastructure operations. You will establish the infrastructure roadmap, build a high-performing engineering team, and partner with Engineering, DevOps, Security, Product Development, and IT leadership to deliver scalable and reliable platforms.\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced infrastructure leader who remains technically engaged and is passionate about automation, modernization, and building resilient infrastructure across on-premise datacenters and cloud environments including Microsoft Azure and AWS.\nThisposition will be located at our offices in San Diego, CA.\nThis position is not eligible for employment sponsorship now or in the future. Applicants must have current and ongoing authorization to work in the United States.\nHow you will make an impact:\nIn this role, you’ll be responsible for the following areas:\nLeadership\nProvide strategic leadership for the IT Systems Engineering organization by establishing the technology roadmap supporting XiFin's business objectives and SaaS platform growth. \nResponsible for the hiring, training and professional development of a high-performing Systems Engineering team; establish clear performance expectations, accountability, and career development plans while fostering a culture of innovation, and continuous learning. \nPartner with Engineering, DevOps, Security, Product Development, and IT leadership to prioritize initiatives, align infrastructure investments, and ensure technology decisions support business and customer needs. \nEstablish engineering standards and best practices across the organization. \nEvaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending investments that improve scalability, reliability, security, operational efficiency, and long-term platform sustainability. \nServe as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and major incidents \nInfrastructure Engineering & Architecture\nLead the architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of Linux-based infrastructure supporting XiFin’s SaaS platforms. \nOversee secure, scalable infrastructure solutions across physical datacenters and cloud environments including Microsoft Azure and AWS. \nDrive automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Ansible, Terraform, Git, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker, and AKS. \nEnsure infrastructure aligns with enterprise security standards including NIST, HITRUST, and CIS Benchmarks. \nEstablish architecture standards and technical governance across infrastructure platforms.\nOperational Excellence & Reliability\nOwn the availability, reliability, and operational maturity of XiFin’s infrastructure environment. \nEstablish monitoring, operational metrics, and processes to improve system performance and proactively identify risks. \nOversee infrastructure documentation, policies, disaster recovery, backup strategies, capacity planning, and lifecycle management. \nLead major incident response efforts, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve platform resiliency. \nDrive modernization initiatives focused on automation, standardization, technical debt reduction, and operational efficiency.\nWhat you will bring to the team: \nWe’re looking for someone with a growth mindset and a passion for learning. The expected annual salary range for this role is: $140,000- $186,000.\nDepending on your qualifications, you may be considered for either a Sr. Manager or Manager role.
