This is not a role for someone who waits for a detailed brief, you will take ambiguous, high-stakes problems, structure your own approach, and drive solutions end-to-end. You will also play a critical mentorship role, elevating the capabilities of the wider engineering team and helping shape our internal technical standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSolution Design & Engineering\n\nArchitect and lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise AI solutions, from problem framing to production deployment\n\nBuild and optimize LLM orchestration workflows, including prompt engineering, chaining, and tool integration\n\nIntegrate AI capabilities with internal enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, knowledge bases, APIs)\n\nSupport deployment across cloud or on-prem environments and contribute to continuous improvement of the AI platform\n\nImplement monitoring, logging, and evaluation mechanisms for AI performance, quality, and cost\n\nArchitecture & Governance\n\nWork closely with platform architects to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of AI solutions\n\nCollaborate with Security & Governance teams to embed explainability, compliance, and human-in-the-loop controls\n\nDefine and enforce technical standards, code quality practices, and engineering documentation\n\nClients & Teams Engagement\n\nMentor junior and mid-level AI engineers, accelerating their learning rate and problem-solving depth\n\nConduct technical reviews and pair-programming sessions to build team capability\n\nFoster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning within the AI practice\n\nTranslate complex AI/ML concepts into clear business language for client and stakeholder communication\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n\n6+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering with a strong portfolio of delivered solutions\n\nDeep proficiency in Python and core Agentic AI frameworks\n\nDemonstrated experience designing and deploying production-grade AI systems at scale\n\nExperience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, and prompt engineering\n\nProven ability to work independently on complex, open-ended problems with minimal supervision\n\nExperience working with APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns\n\nUnderstanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerised deployments\n\nKnowledge of data privacy, security, or compliance considerations in AI systems in specific geographic regions\n\nNice to Have:\n\nExperience with conversational AI platforms\n\nExperience working in regulated industries\n\nExposure to multilingual NLP, inclusive AI design, or AI for emerging markets\n\nPrior experience in a consulting or client-facing technical role\n\nQualifications:\n\nMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field\n\nStrong engineering fundamentals with applied AI experience\n\nCuriosity to learn and adapt to a fast-evolving AI landscape\n\nClear communication and ability to work with cross-functional team\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer:\n\nAt Xitricon we are building a company where a diverse mix of talented people want to come, stay, and do their best work.
