Role:\nAs the Platform Engineer Team Lead, you will work alongside the department's Manager in coordinating the team’s daily operations while actively contributing to the design, implementation, and achieve agreed goals and performance indicators\nRecommend and actively promote improvements to DevOps practices, automation patterns, and tooling\nIdentify automation opportunities and drive implementation initiatives within the Platform Engineering team\nMonitor and suggest improvements to the existing CI/CD process to increase speed, safety, and reliability\nCoordinate implementation activities within the team and assist in cross-team collaboration when required\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance existing GitLab CI pipeline libraries\nAssist developers with setting up CI/CD for their projects and provide support for any issues that may arise\nStay up to date with the latest tools and trends in the industry and share relevant insights with the wider team\nEnsure adherence to best practices across Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes environments and support continuous improvement initiatives\nSupport knowledge-sharing sessions and educate Application Development Teams on platform standards, tools, and best practices\nWork closely with the Security team to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure platform compliance with security standards\nSet personal targets for team members and monitor performance\nProvide regular feedback, coaching, mentoring, and development support to team members\nEncourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team\nHelp maintain a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team environment\nMain requirements:\nBSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline\n7+ years’ experience within the following areas: Cloud (AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows Server Administration, Linux Administration, Certificate Management, PowerShell scripting, Bash/python scripting, Configuration Management and IAC (Ansible/Terraform), DNS, Networking\nEnterprise-level Kubernetes experience\nSolid Linux administration skills\nStrong leadership, mentoring, and people management skills\nCommitment to continuous improvement, with a focus on observability, modern application architecture styles, blue-green/canary deployments, and CI/CD pipeline management\nAbility to self-motivate, study, and stay on top of emerging technologies and trends while meeting business deadlines\nExcellent communication, organizational, and time management skills\nStrong attention to detail and cost awareness\nAbility to work effectively in fast-paced environments and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines\nExperience with tools including: Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, New Relic\nThe following will be considered an advantage:\nFamiliarity with database concepts\nWorking experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably AWS)\nExperience with Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshooting\nExperience with ELK configuration and troubleshooting\nExperience mentoring or coaching technical teams\nScripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go, etc.)\nBenefit
