If you are a highly self-motivated professional who embraces DevOps culture, has experience with AWS services and technologies and is passionate about learning, automating, innovating and working in a highly collaborative environment, we'd like to hear from you!\nThe main responsibilities of the position include:\nInitiate and actively drive the adoption of good patterns, structures and use of technologies for development and operations\nInvestigate and identify practices and work that can benefit from automation \nMonitor and suggest improvements to the existing CI/CD process to increase speed, safety and reliability\nImplement and coordinate implementation with the parties involved\nDevelop and maintain existing /GitLab CI pipeline libraries\nAssist developers with setting up CI/CD for their projects and provide support for any issues that may arise\nStay up to date with the latest tools and trends in the industry\nProvide senior-level, best practice recommendations and implementations to our Windows, Linux and Kubernetes hosting environments \nFunction as a mentor to junior team members, providing technical guidance and recommending continued learning opportunities to help them develop\nEducate fellow team members as well as Application Development Teams about the platforms used-for and hosted-by our team. Key tools and concepts in this space are: Gitlab, Docker, AWS, Terraform, Istio Service Mesh, Kubernetes , Kafka, ELK\nWork with our Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities and ensure the security of our environments are being scrutinised as appropriate for their use case \nOffer services related to the above tasks and projects to any of the Companies of the Group as instructed by the Line Manager\nMain requirements:\nUniversity degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline\n7+ years’ experience within the following areas: Cloud ( AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows Server Administration, Linux Administration, Certificate Management, PowerShell scripting, Bash/python scripting, Configuration Management and IAC (Ansible/Terraform), DNS, Networking \nEnterprise-level Kubernetes experience \nSolid Linux administration skills \nCommitment to continuous improvement, with a focus on observability, modern application architecture styles, blue-green / canary deployments, CI/CD pipeline management \nAbility to self-motivate, study, and stay on-top of emerging technologies and trends, while meeting business deadlines \nExperience with tools including: Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, New Relic\nThe following will be considered an advantage:\nFamiliarity with database concepts\nWorking experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably AWS)\nExperience with Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshooting\nExperience with ELK configuration and troubleshooting\nScripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go, etc.)\nThe Hiring Experience: What Awaits You\nShow Your Skills -
