This role is responsible for assigning and coordinating the daily work of designers, establishing design standards, ensuring manufacturability, and driving high-quality engineering documentation.\nThe successful candidate will have strong expertise in 3D CAD design, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance stack-up analysis, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), sheet metal design, manufacturing processes, and product development within an OEM environment. This individual will work closely with engineering, production, sourcing, quality, and suppliers to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and scalable for manufacturing.\nMain Responsibilities\nLead and coordinate the daily activities and priorities of the mechanical design team.\n\nAssign work to designers and monitor progress to ensure project deadlines and quality expectations are met.\n\nDevelop, review, and approve 3D models, detail drawings, assembly drawings, layouts, and manufacturing documentation.\n\nServe as the subject matter expert for GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, fit/function analysis, and drawing interpretation.\n\nLead design reviews and ensure compliance with company standards, manufacturability requirements, and applicable industry codes.\n\nCollaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Sourcing, Quality, and Service teams throughout the product development cycle.\n\nSupport production in resolving manufacturing and assembly issues and implement corrective design actions.\n\nWork with suppliers to evaluate components, fabrication methods, and manufacturing alternatives.\n\nReview and approve engineering change requests (ECRs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and product improvements.\n\nParticipate in product development activities from concept through production release.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\nDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.\n\n8+ years of mechanical design experience in an OEM manufacturing environment.\n\n3+ years of experience leading or coordinating a design team.\n\nAdvanced proficiency with 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred;
