We design and manufacture energy-efficient climate systems for applications including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial buildings, and other mission-critical environments.\nAs part of our continued growth in the United States, XNRGY is seeking an experienced Plant Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Mesa, Arizona.\nPosition Overview\nThe Plant Supplier Quality Engineer protects plant operations from supplier-related quality disruptions and ensures production continuity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nThis position serves as the first line of defense between incoming supplier material and production. The Plant QE will monitor supplier quality performance, lead containment activities, investigate supplier-related non-conformances, drive corrective actions, and proactively identify supplier risks before they impact production.\nWorking cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement/Sourcing, Corporate Supplier Quality, and external suppliers, this individual will play a critical role in preventing line stoppages and continuously improving supplier quality performance.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupplier Quality Performance\nMonitor daily supplier quality performance, including PPM, line disruptions, repeat defects, and other key supplier quality metrics.\n\nMaintain supplier quality dashboards and identify trends requiring corrective action or escalation.\n\nIdentify high-risk and underperforming suppliers and proactively implement mitigation plans to protect production continuity.\n\nContainment & Production Line Protection\nLead immediate containment activities for supplier-related non-conformances.\n\nCoordinate sorting, rework, material segregation, controlled shipping, and other containment activities.\n\nEnsure suspect or non-conforming supplier material does not negatively impact production.\n\nRespond quickly to supplier quality issues that could create production delays or line stoppages.\n\nNon-Conformance & Corrective Action Management\nIssue, manage, and track supplier Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).\n\nLead structured root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D and 5-Why.\n\nWork directly with suppliers to develop and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.\n\nValidate the effectiveness of corrective actions prior to closure.\n\nIdentify repeat or chronic supplier issues and escalate when appropriate.\n\nSupplier Risk Management\nProactively identify supplier quality risks that could impact manufacturing operations.\n\nDevelop mitigation and recovery plans for high-risk supplier situations.\n\nEscalate chronic, high-impact, or unresolved supplier quality issues through established governance processes.\n\nSupport the plant in minimizing supplier-related production interruptions and quality costs.\n\nCross-Functional Plant Support\nPartner closely with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Procurement/Sourcing, and Corporate Supplier Quality to resolve supplier-related issues.\n\nSupport new product launches, engineering changes, and production changes from a supplier and plant quality risk perspective.\n\nCommunicate supplier quality concerns clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders and suppliers.\n\nProvide technical quality support during urgent production and supplier situations.\n\nSupplier Compliance & Documentation\nMaintain accurate supplier quality records, including NCRs, deviations, corrective actions, containment activities, and supplier performance documentation.\n\nEnsure supplier compliance with applicable ISO, UL, regulatory, engineering, and plant-specific requirements.\n\nSupport supplier audits and quality inspections as required.\n\nEnsure appropriate quality documentation is maintained and available to support plant and supplier quality activities.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or another related engineering field.\n\n3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or a closely related quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment.\n\nStrong experience with supplier non-conformance and corrective action management.\n\nDemonstrated experience leading containment activities and mitigating production line-stoppage risks.\n\nStrong knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5-Why, and Root Cause Analysis.\n\nWorking knowledge of core quality tools including SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, and corrective action systems.\n\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong communication and supplier management skills.\n\nAbility to effectively manage multiple priorities in a high-urgency, fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience within HVAC, industrial equipment, automotive, aerospace, heavy manufacturing, or another complex engineered-product manufacturing environment.\n\nExperience conducting or supporting supplier audits and quality inspections.\n\nKnowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.\n\nLean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement training or certification.\n\nExperience working directly with suppliers to
