This role involves handling advanced invoicing, leading month-end close activities, mentoring Accounts Payable Specialist, and driving process improvements within the procure-to-pay cycle. The AP lead will also act as a key support for audit and compliance efforts.\nKey Responsibilities and Duties\nAdvanced AP Processing & Vendor Management (50%)\nProcess complex 2-way and 3-way match invoices, ensuring accurate coding, proper approvals, and adherence to deadlines.\nAct as the primary point of contact for resolving non-routine vendor correspondence and payment discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.\nCollaborate closely with purchasing and other department heads to address processing issues and handle urgent payment requests and escalations.\nReporting, Audit & Compliance (30%)\nPrepare and own AP-related month-end close schedules, reconciliations, and reports.\nAssist the Senior AP Manager in monitoring and analyzing AP aging, GR/IR accounts, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).\nTake a lead role in gathering transaction samples and providing support for internal, external, and SOX audits.\nEnsure daily processes are in compliance with accounting policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets.\nProcess Improvement & Mentorship (20%)\nIdentify opportunities and assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to enhance departmental workflow and efficiency.\nParticipate in special projects, including system enhancements, automated invoice processing initiatives, and data validation.\nProvide training, guidance, and backup support to other AP team members as needed.\nAdvise Accounts Payable Specialists on the proper handling of non-routine accounting transactions.\nXometry is an equal opportunity employer.
