In this role, you will assess the technical complexity of parts and components, support quotation accuracy, and collaborate with clients, providers, and internal teams to resolve technical questions and ensure successful project execution.\nHow You’ll Contribute:\nTechnical Evaluation & Sourcing:\nAssess the technical complexity of parts and components to support accurate sourcing and manufacturing evaluations\n\nReview technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to identify key manufacturing considerations\n\nSupport the sourcing team in identifying suitable manufacturing capabilities and providers for complex parts and projects\n\nAssign and maintain appropriate technical tags to ensure accurate categorization of parts and manufacturing requirements\n\nQuotation & Project Support:\nReview technical content within quotations for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with customer requirements\n\nIdentify potential technical issues or gaps and work with relevant teams to resolve them\n\nSupport complex projects and critical deals by providing technical input and manufacturing expertise\n\nClient & Provider Communication:\nParticipate in meetings with clients and manufacturing providers to clarify technical requirements and resolve technical challenges\n\nCommunicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\n\nHelp ensure alignment between customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities, and sourcing solutions\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration:\nWork closely with engineering, sourcing, sales, and other internal teams to support successful project execution\n\nShare technical knowledge and best practices with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing processes\n\nSupport junior team members by providing technical guidance and knowledge when needed\n\nWhat You’ll Bring to Xometry:\nEducation: Higher technical education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field\n\nExperience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment involving complex products, parts, or components\n\nTechnical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, technical drawings, part specifications, and component complexity\n\nSourcing Experience: Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, sourcing teams, engineering teams, or technical procurement is preferred\n\nCommunication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to discuss technical requirements with clients, providers, and internal stakeholders\n\nEnglish: B1-B2 level English proficiency\n\nProblem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical challenges\n\nOrganization: Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment\n\nCollaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across engineering, sourcing, sales, and operations teams\n\nAdaptability: Ability to work under pressure, manage changing priorities, and maintain attention to detail\n\n#LI-Remote \nXometry is an equal opportunity employer.
