Xometry’s digital marketplace gives manufacturers the critical resources they need to grow their business while also making it easy for buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to tap into global manufacturing capacity.\nWe are looking to add a Senior Data Engineer to our Marketplace Services team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building and maintaining Xometry’s core data pipelines and models used to understand key business performance. Additionally, this person will help scale data modeling across all global entities. You will play a crucial role in a rapidly growing part of the Xometry business, and everything you do will matter.\nWhat you will do:\nClose collaboration with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable data solutions\nBuild, document, and maintain robust data pipelines using tools like dbt, Dagster, Snowflake, Estuary, and Airbyte.\nDevelop deployment and release of functionality through software integration to support devops and CI/CD pipelines\nDesign, build, and operate cloud-based (AWS) data infrastructure, optimizing for scale, performance, and cost efficiency as the size of our data grows\nBuild frameworks and internal self-service tooling that helps the data team deliver value faster\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree required, or relevant experience \n5+ years of prior experience as a software engineer or data engineer in a fast-paced, technical, problem-solving environment\nProficiency in cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake) best practices, optimization and usage\nExpert in ETL, data modeling and version control, dbt and GitHub preferred\nDevelop and implement robust data models that ensure data integrity, consistency, and understandability for both internal and external consumers \nKnowledge and understanding of AWS data ecosystem\nExperience with data extraction tools (Estuary, Airbyte, etc.)\nExperience with programming language like Python, JavaScript\nExperience with Business Intelligence tools, Looker preferred\nFamiliarity with data streaming technologies\nDemonstrated experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment tools\nPartner closely with business, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions\nAbility to work in a fast paced environment and shift gears quickly\nMust be able to work core aligned hours to US Eastern Time / GMT-5 \nThe estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $119,000-$155,000.00 annually + bonus depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
