Working in tandem with the Sales team, you'll be the technical voice in the room - anticipating objections, building confidence in Xometry's capabilities, and helping customers get to the right manufacturing solution faster.\nHow You’ll Contribute:\nLead discovery conversations with Sales to uncover business and technical requirements and map them to Xometry solutions\nBe the technical liaison between molding teams and the customer. \nConsult directly with prospects and customers to identify the right applications of Xometry's technology and build the business case\nDemonstrate Xometry's capabilities, including our software quoting platform, in a way that resonates with both engineers and executives\nPartner with product, sales, quoting, and engineering teams - feeding customer insight back into the business and contributing to case studies and marketing collateral\nRepresent Xometry as an industry thought leader at events, webinars, and in the injection molding community\nServe as the internal go-to expert on injection molding and related processes, helping the broader team speak credibly to customers about tooling, mold design, and process capability\nProvide project management and oversight on complex opportunities\nWhat You Bring To Xometry:\nA genuine manufacturing and process background in injection molding, compression molding, overmolding, and insert molding - with hands-on, floor-level experience strongly preferred\nAn outgoing, personable communicator who's equally comfortable in a deep technical discussion with a mold designer and presenting to a room of executives\nTechnical empathy: the instinct to listen first, understand a customer's real problem (not just their stated request), and translate between technical and business language without losing either audience\nConsultative by nature - always asking \"why\" before proposing \"what\"\nExperience preparing and presenting technical solutions within business proposals\nSelf-motivated and comfortable managing multiple long-term projects with minimal oversight in a fast-paced startup environment\nStrong interpersonal skills and a natural relationship-builder\nEngineering degree (Mechanical or Plastics preferred) or related technical degree\n5-7+ years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical field\nDemonstrated project management and presentation skills\nCAD and technical drawing experience\nDemonstrated Expertise in some of the following areas: New Product Development, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, GD&T, Mold Design, ISO Certifications, PPAP & Inspection \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including mastery of English\nWillingness to travel up to 20%\nXometry is an equal opportunity employer.
