This role involves leading a team of Sourcing Specialists and Coordinators to resolve the company's most complex manufacturing challenges, while also driving customer-first resolutions for its most complex projects. The Team Lead will provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and support to ensure efficient order placement, high-quality customer outcomes, and adherence to key performance metrics.\nThis role combines people leadership with: technical problem-solving; customer and supplier negotiations; and strategic problem-solving within a rapidly growing department. The ideal candidate is a leader who is comfortable guiding others while balancing their own high-risk orders.\nDay to Day: \nLead a team of sourcing professionals throughout the order recovery process and provide coaching, direction, and real-time guidance as appropriate.\nServe as a subject matter expert for advanced recovery strategies, supplier and customer negotiations, and provide support to overcome complex sourcing challenges.\nPrioritize escalations and redistribute your team’s workload as needed to achieve the team’s overall KPIs\nMaintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams (Design Engineers, Manual Quoting Team, Sales, etc.) to coordinate recovery plans\nIndependently manage your queue of high-risk / high-visibility escalations\nSkills: \nCapable of providing clear direction, feedback, and organized escalation summaries (communicated both verbally and in writing) for your team members and internal and external customers\nAdvanced problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to triage and prioritize multiple simultaneous escalations\nComfortable working independently while staying responsive and available to team members\nProficiency with the Google Workspace (Docs and Sheets) or their Microsoft equivalents \nFamiliarity with Salesforce, Looker, and any CAD software is a plus\nQualifications: \nBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field preferred\n3+ years of client-facing and vendor-facing experience, preferably in the manufacturing space\n2+ years of team leadership or mentoring experience, ideally in an operations, sourcing, or customer-facing environment\nDemonstrated success managing escalated or complex workplace situations with clear communication and strong follow-through\nThe estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $73,000- $89,000 annually depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
