Joining our team means you will work in a high performing global company where employees collaborate and strive for excellence.\n Position Summary\nThe In-Process Quality Inspector performs dimensional and visual workmanship inspections throughout final assembly and test to catch defects early and keep nonconforming product from moving downstream. This role works closely with production operators, test technicians, and engineering to verify that assemblies meet drawings, work instructions, and IPC workmanship standards, and documents results accurately in our ERP/MES system.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform in-process inspections at defined checkpoints in final assembly and test to verify conformance to drawings, work instructions, and customer requirements.\nInspect electronic assemblies, wiring, and cable harnesses to IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and J-STD-001 workmanship criteria.\nConduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and torque tools.\nUse stereo microscopes and magnification equipment to evaluate solder joints, crimps, terminations, and other workmanship details.\nPerform First Article Inspections (FAI) on new builds, revisions, and after process or tooling changes.\nIdentify, tag, and segregate nonconforming material; write clear Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and support Material Review Board (MRB) disposition.\nRecord inspection results, defects, and yields accurately and on time in the ERP/MES system.\nCommunicate quality issues promptly to the Production Manager, operators, and engineering, and help verify corrective actions.\nFollow and support ESD control requirements (ANSI/ESD S20.20) and the site's ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality management system.\nMaintain a clean, organized inspection area and ensure measuring equipment is within calibration before use.\n Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n3-5 years of quality inspection experience in electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing.\nWorking knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and J-STD-001 workmanship standards.\nProficient with precision measuring instruments and microscopes.\nAble to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions.\nExperience writing NCRs and performing First Article Inspections.\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems and ESD control practices.\nComfortable entering data in ERP/MES systems; basic Microsoft Office skills.\nStrong attention to detail, good written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCurrent IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (CIS or CIT).\nExperience with power supplies, power conversion, or high-reliability products.\nPhysical Requirements & Work Environment\nManufacturing floor environment; must follow ESD and safety protocols, including required PPE.\nAbility to sit or stand for extended periods and perform detailed work under magnification.\nGood near vision and color perception (with or without correction).\nAbility to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.\n XP Power provides a safe and healthy working environment that is stimulating and collaborative, where employees are empowered to make a real difference.
