The Quality Control Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring that every component, assembly, and finished product meets XP Power's quality and reliability standards. By inspecting incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and completed products before shipment, this position helps prevent defects, supports customer satisfaction, and ensures that products perform safely and reliably in critical end-use applications. In this role, you will be inspecting:\nIncoming materials (PC boards, sheet metal, etc.)\nPC board and harness assemblies (many different types)\nFinal assemblies (assembled power supplies) \nPerform Final Inspection (after Test and Burn-in, before shipping)\nInspect material orders on your daily assignment sheet, using BOMs and assembly drawings\nEnter Reject information into computer, print rework traveler and return order to assembler and/or do Move transactions as required to move order to next department\nKeep QA Supervisor informed of Quality issues\nWork hours are:\nDay Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Half-hour unpaid lunch\n High school dimploma or equivalent\nExperience in electronics manufacturing, quality inspection, or a related technical field\nKnowledge of IPC workmanship standards, quality control methodologies, and good manufacturing practices preferred\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings, explain quality concerns, and collaborate effectively across departments\nDemonstrated emotional intelligence and professionalism when working with individuals at all levels of the organization and across a variety of work styles and personalities\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate information, identify potential quality issues, and make sound decisions independently\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, inspection criteria, and quality standards\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in inspection, documentation, and compliance activities\nSelf-motivated and accountable, with the ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nWillingness to actively engage in the quality process by identifying improvement opportunities and contributing ideas that enhance product quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance\nAbility to work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Test, Materials, and Quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement\nStrong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing or quality-related systems\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularly\n XP Power provides a safe and healthy working environment that is stimulating and collaborative, where employees are empowered to make a real difference.
