Joining our team means you’ll work in a high performing global organisation where employees collaborate and strive to make XP Power the first-choice power solutions provider delivering the ultimate experience for our customers and our people.\n Own the learning and capability strategy for XP Power’s Malaysia manufacturing site, ensuring employees have the technical, quality, safety and behavioural skills needed for site start-up, production ramp-up and sustainable growth.\nConduct organisation-wide training needs analysis and translate business, customer, audit and operational requirements into an annual training plan, calendar and budget.\nBuild and govern the site learning framework, including skills matrices, role-based curricula, competency standards, certification pathways, refresher cycles and training record controls.\nDevelop structured onboarding and qualification programmes for operators, technicians, engineers, supervisors and support functions, with clear time-to-competence milestones.\nPartner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS and subject-matter experts to create and maintain practical training for manufacturing processes, work instructions, equipment, test methods, product knowledge, problem-solving and continuous improvement.\nEnsure training supports applicable quality management systems, ESD controls, product and process compliance, health and safety requirements, customer expectations and audit readiness.\nEstablish and lead a train-the-trainer and internal instructor certification programme, coach subject-matter experts in facilitation and assessment techniques, and maintain trainer effectiveness standards.\nLead the Engineering Development Programme and other structured early-career, technical and leadership development initiatives, including rotations, learning pathways, mentoring and progress reviews.\nCreate blended learning solutions using classroom, on-the-job, digital and practical simulation methods; develop high-quality materials, facilitator guides, assessments and standard work aligned with XP Power requirements.\nMeasure learning effectiveness through knowledge checks, practical assessments, certification results and operational indicators such as safety, quality, productivity, scrap, rework and time to competence.\nUse training data and feedback to close competency gaps, improve programme content and report progress, risks and capability readiness to site and regional leadership.\nManage external training providers, technical institutes and university partnerships, including programme quality, commercial terms, scheduling and delivery.\nMaintain accurate training records and compliance documentation, manage HRD Corp registrations and claims, and support internal, customer and regulatory audits.\n Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline; an engineering or technical background is strongly preferred.\nAt least 8 years’ relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years leading learning, technical training or capability development in a manufacturing environment.\nProven experience building training systems for a new site, production ramp-up or major operational transformation is highly desirable.\nStrong knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, competency frameworks, skills matrices, practical assessment, certification and train-the-trainer methodologies.\nExperience developing technical training for operators, technicians and engineers in electronics, electrical products, power conversion, precision manufacturing or a comparable high-mix manufacturing environment.\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing process control, standard work, work instructions, ESD, equipment and test-method training, root-cause analysis, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.\nGood understanding of quality management systems, audit readiness, safety training and controlled training records; experience in regulated or customer-critical sectors is an advantage.\nAbility to convert complex technical content into clear, practical and engaging learning for employees with different levels of experience and language proficiency.\nStrong project management and data-analysis skills, with the ability to manage multiple programmes, budgets, providers and deadlines and to demonstrate measurable business impact.\nConfident facilitator and coach with strong communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills across shop-floor, technical and leadership audiences.\nFamiliarity with learning management systems, digital learning tools and Microsoft 365; experience administering HRD Corp training grants and claims is preferred.\nCustomer-focused, hands-on, resourceful and collaborative, demonstrating XP Power’s values of customer Focus, Flexibility, Knowledge, Speed and Integrity.\n XP Power provides a safe and healthy working environment that is stimulating and collaborative, where employees are empowered to make a real difference.
