You will monitor scheme requirements, coordinate responses to network requests, maintain critical internal documentation and make sure the organization stays informed and compliant with evolving Visa and Mastercard rules.\nYour role at xpate:\nMonitor and interpret Visa and Mastercard bulletins, mandates, rule changes and operational updates.\n\nAssess the impact of scheme changes and coordinate implementation with relevant internal stakeholders.\n\nSupport scheme integrations and changes, including certifications, testing and new scheme programs or services.\n\nPrepare and submit mandatory reports to Visa and Mastercard, including compliance, PCI DSS, quarterly and other scheme-related reporting.\n\nCoordinate and manage responses to requests, inquiries and investigations from card schemes.\n\nMaintain internal registers, trackers, and operational records, keeping information accurate and up to date.\n\nOwn and maintain internal knowledge bases and documentation, including Confluence pages and process documentation.\n\nSupport internal teams with scheme-related guidance and best practices.\n\nCollaborate with Product, Operations, Compliance, Finance, Risk, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment with scheme requirements.\n\nContribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives within the card business.\n\nWe’re ready to meet you, if…\n1+ years of hands-on experience working directly with Visa and/or Mastercard schemes (at an acquirer, issuer, processor, PSP, or the schemes themselves).\n\nPractical knowledge of scheme rules and operating regulations, and experience applying them in day-to-day work.\n\nExperience with scheme procedures, such as mandate implementation, scheme reporting, compliance programs, and handling scheme inquiries or investigations.\n\nExperience with Visa Online, Mastercard Connect, or other scheme portals and tools.\n\nExperience with scheme integrations, such as certifications, testing, onboarding to new scheme services, or implementing technical and operational scheme changes.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and interpret complex operational matters.\n\nExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.\n\nThe ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.\n\nNice to have\nKnowledge of PCI DSS and scheme compliance programs (e.g. fraud and chargeback monitoring).\n\nBackground in a fintech, payments, or regulated financial services environment.\n\nWhat working at xpate looks like:\nA dynamic, ambitious environment where the banking network is yours to grow, with short decision paths and real ownership.\n\nCompetitive compensation and an attractive employee benefits package.\nHealth insurance to support your well-being.\nEducational bonus to support your professional development and continuous learning.\nFlexible working environment built on trust and accountability.\nWhy join xpate?\nWe're building the financial backbone of the future, where payments move freely and businesses grow without barriers.
