This role applies engineering expertise to drive continuous improvement, enhance product quality, and increase operational efficiency.Core Duties\nTechnical resource for on-going production activities: establishing & improving production quality specifications, production support, documentation & analysis of production KPIs\nResponsible for reviewing safety and quality standards to ensure the Internal and External stakeholders are properly meeting these guidelines\nLeads quality improvement, yield improvement & corrective action projects with internal and external stakeholders\nRecommends manufacturing processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability\nAssesses current equipment and processes and makes recommendations for changes. May train personnel in equipment usage and processes\nCollaborate with research and development teams as technologies transition to pilot & scale-up environments to ensure a successful commercialization\nBasic Qualifications\nBS in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Materials Engineering or related field\n2 years' experience in process engineering, production operations, and/or quality control environments\nAnalytical skills for troubleshooting designs not working as planned, asking the right questions, and finding answers that work.\nFamiliarity with statistics & hypothesis-driven problem-solving methodologies; for example: Six Sigma, DOE, 8D, DMAIC, Lean, etc.\nInterpersonal skills in developing positive working relationships with other employees working with the production process.
