The role sits within a DevOps Managed Service team offering IT Development, IT Security, IT Operations as well as assurance to Xpertex’s customer systems.\nThe post-holder will be skilled and experienced professional operating at the SFIA band specified\nThe post-holder will be an active contributor to the development of the lines of service to which it relates for the reporting period\nKey responsibilities for this job:\nFunctional, Technical, support and optimisation of the technical systems within the Managed Service\nTechnical Consultancy on multiple customer engagements at customer sites and remote support\nDevelopment, Test & Release and Support of customer products \nManagement of all planned outages and deployments of new services, software or capabilities - this includes upgrades, major changes and periods of special interest\nEngage with business development stakeholders to support growth in the relevant line-of-service.\nProvide subject-matter-expertise in 2nd and 3rd Line support in response to queries received by peers and colleagues or managers\nProducing project artefacts, technical designs and support documentation that is reviewed, managed and stored appropriately in line with best practice, e.g. Prince2, TOGAF, ISO, AGILE etc.\nAttendance at Daily Scrum or checkpoint meetings - including any associated documentation, managing incidents, escalations or upcoming upgrades\nProviding progress updates to relevant stakeholders including identification of risks and issues.\nResearching market approaches \nTo hold active security clearance\nKnowledge and experience required:\nThis role will require you to hold an active high level of DV security clearance prior to starting the role\nExperience working in DevOps related engagements or related field\nKnowledge of information technology practices and products to provide objective and credible opinions and guidance\nExperience of Linux/RHEL v6x, 7x and 8x \nJavaScript, SQL, Java, Python and Unix coding\nScripting knowledge\nAGILE\nJIRA\nCommunicate with impact and empathy and adapt style to suit the situation\nOpenText Service Manager and/or ServiceNow report creation knowledge\nAbility to provide written reports to a high standard with the appropriate caveats and guidance (internal and external facing material)\nAWS infrastructure support and migration experience\nDesirable knowledge and experience: \nAWS accreditation\nKnowledge of COTS products (including but not limited to; Elasticsearch, NiFi, Rabbit, Kafka, MongoDB, Hadoop, Ansible, Git and Kubernetes)\nDevelopment of dashboards for monitoring and alerting through Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus and OpenText Om and Ops Bridge\nOn prem to cloud application migration\nFull, current UK Driving license and provision of vehicle for business purposes\nOur People\nOur people are what makes Exponential-e Group the company it is today.
