The ability to make sound architectural decisions, mentor teammates, and deliver high-quality code will be key to your success in this role.\nIf you enjoy solving hard engineering problems at scale and want to have a real impact on products used around the world, we would love to hear from you!\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs\n\nParticipate in architecture and design discussions; write and review technical design documents\n\nWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested code with comprehensive unit and integration test coverage\n\nOptimize database schemas and queries; ensure performance and reliability under load\n\nBuild event-driven and asynchronous workflows using message brokers\n\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems; take part in incident response and post-mortems\n\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and engineering best practices\n\nPerform code reviews and mentor Middle and Junior engineers\n\nCollaborate with Product, Design, Frontend, QA, and DevOps to deliver features end to end\n\nMaintain clear API and technical documentation\n\nABOUT THE TEAM\nYou will join a product engineering team of backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps engineers working closely with Product and Design. The team owns its services end to end: from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and on-call support.\nTypical Tech Stack:\nLanguage: Go\n\nDatabases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis\n\nMessaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS\n\nAPIs: REST, gRPC, OpenAPI (Swagger)\n\nAuthentication & Authorization: OAuth 2.0 / OIDC\n\nInfrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitLab CI or similar)\n\nObservability: Metrics, centralized logging, distributed tracing, alerting\n\nNice to have\nRequired:\n5+ years of commercial backend development experience\n\nStrong proficiency in Go: idiomatic code, concurrency patterns, performance profiling\n\nSolid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL): schema design, indexing, query optimization, migrations\n\nExperience with Redis or similar caching solutions\n\nExperience designing and implementing REST APIs (gRPC is a plus) and documenting them with OpenAPI/Swagger\n\nUnderstanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems trade-offs (consistency, availability, failure modes)\n\nExperience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or similar) and event-driven design\n\nExperience with Docker and a good understanding of Kubernetes basics\n\nProficiency with Git and CI/CD practices\n\nSolid experience with automated testing (unit, integration)\n\nUnderstanding of application security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10, secure handling of secrets and user data, authentication and authorization basics)\n\nGood written and spoken English\n\nPreferred:\nExperience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Graylog, OpenTelemetry)\n\nExperience with high-load systems and performance profiling\n\nExperience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code\n\nExperience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB or similar)\n\nExperience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers\n\nExperience in gaming, e-commerce, fintech, or payments domains\n\nPractical, up-to-date
