Java Developer - Backend - Enterprise Applications

Job Summary:
We are looking for experienced Java Developers with strong hands-on coding skills and experience in developing production-grade enterprise applications. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Java-based solutions, building REST APIs, developing platform microservices, resolving production defects, and handling customer escalations.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Application Development:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade enterprise software.
- Write clean, scalable, efficient, and maintainable code using Java and object-oriented programming principles.
- Translate business and technical requirements into reliable software solutions.
REST API Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for use by application teams.
- Ensure APIs are scalable, secure, reliable, and efficient.
Microservices Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain platform microservices.
- Build modular and scalable services aligned with application architecture.
Defect Resolution and Customer Support:
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Work directly with customers to understand technical problems and provide effective resolutions.
Testing and Code Quality:
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure application reliability.
Collaboration and Delivery:
- Collaborate with architects, technical leads, application developers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure timely completion of development tasks and delivery milestones.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in Java development.
- Strong hands-on coding experience in Java and object-oriented programming.
- Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience designing and developing platform microservices.
- Experience in troubleshooting defects and resolving production issues.
Work Details:
- Location: Whitefield, Bangalore
- Work Mode: Hybrid (2 Days Office, 3 Days WFH)
- Contract Duration: 3 - 6 Months, Extendable
