The role requires someone with strong hands-on DevOps experience who can manage and guide DevOps engineers, establish engineering standards, improve CI/CD and automation, and ensure the environment is operationally ready and sustainable. The candidate should also have sufficient solutioning and architecture experience to review technical designs, propose solutions and work with architects, application teams and infrastructure teams when required.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevOps Leadership & Team Management\nLead and manage a team of DevOps engineers. \nPlan and prioritise the team's technical activities and deliverables. \nProvide technical direction, coaching and guidance to engineers. \nReview engineers' designs, pipelines, automation and implementation work. \nAct as the technical escalation point for complex DevOps issues. \nEnsure the team follows agreed engineering, security and operational standards. \nTrack delivery progress, technical risks and dependencies. \nWork closely with project and customer stakeholders on priorities and requirements. \nDay 2 DevOps Operations\nEstablish and manage the Day 2 DevOps operating model. \nDefine operational processes, responsibilities and engineering standards. \nEnsure CI/CD platforms and pipelines are properly supported and maintained. \nEstablish monitoring, alerting, logging and operational dashboards. \nImprove incident response and troubleshooting processes. \nIdentify recurring manual activities and drive automation. \nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and operational procedures. \nEnsure production environments are stable, supportable and operationally ready. \nDrive continuous improvement across the DevOps environment. \nCI/CD & Automation\nDesign, implement and improve CI/CD pipelines. \nEstablish source control, branching, build, deployment and release practices. \nDrive Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar tools. \nImprove deployment automation and reduce manual activities. \nImplement appropriate pipeline approvals, security checks and deployment controls. \nSupport containerised workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS or similar platforms. \nReview and troubleshoot pipeline and deployment issues. \nCloud & Technical Solutioning\nProvide technical solutioning for cloud and DevOps requirements. \nReview proposed technical designs and recommend practical improvements. \nUnderstand AWS architecture across compute, networking, storage, database, security and monitoring. \nSupport solution design for availability, scalability, security and operational requirements. \nWork with Solution Architects and other technical teams on larger architecture decisions. \nEnsure new solutions can be effectively transitioned into Day 2 operations. \nParticipate in technical and architecture reviews where required. \nRequirements\nTechnical Requirements\nStrong hands-on DevOps and CI/CD experience. \nStrong experience leading or managing DevOps engineers. \nExperience establishing or managing Day 2 DevOps operations. \nGood AWS cloud knowledge and hands-on experience. \nStrong experience with CI/CD platforms and pipeline management. \nStrong Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably Terraform and/or CloudFormation. \nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes and/or AWS ECS/EKS. \nGood understanding of monitoring, logging and observability. \nGood understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management and network security. \nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. \nAble to review technical designs and provide solutioning/architecture recommendations. \nAble to communicate effectively with both technical teams and customer stakeholders. \nExperience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. \nMinimum 8 years of IT experience, with strong experience in DevOps, cloud engineering or platform engineering. \nAt least 3-5 years in a DevOps Lead, Technical Lead or equivalent role. \nProven experience managing and providing technical leadership to DevOps engineers. \nExperience establishing DevOps practices and operational processes for production environments. \nExperience supporting solutions from implementation through to Day 2 operations. \nExperience working in enterprise or large-scale environments. \nSingapore Government, GCC/GCC+ or regulated environment experience would be advantageous. \n\nCertifications\nMandatory\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect -
