From conducting site assessments and resolving operational issues to automating deployments and configuring cloud platforms, your work will help improve service reliability, operational efficiency, and consistency across field environments.\nThis role is suited to an engineer with hands-on managed services and infrastructure operations experience who wants to deepen their expertise in cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, and operational excellence. You will collaborate with technical teams, project managers, clients, and site personnel to deliver practical solutions while maintaining security, audit readiness, and service quality.\nResponsibilities\nManage field operations and infrastructure services by supporting routine maintenance, monitoring, change management, incident handling, and technical service requests.\nConduct site assessments and technical evaluations to identify operational gaps, assess infrastructure requirements, and recommend service improvements.\n Provision and configure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.\nAutomate operational workflows by developing and maintaining scripts, deployment pipelines, and configuration automation for field operations and cloud environments.\nSupport CI/CD and platform delivery by implementing and maintaining pipelines for infrastructure management, middleware deployment, and field service delivery, including SHIP-HATS where applicable.\nConfigure and maintain cloud platforms and middleware to support reliable infrastructure and application services.\nImplement security and engineering standards by aligning operational processes with GovTech Engineering Practices and applicable government hosting and security requirements.\nSupport compliance and audit readiness through evidence collection, technical documentation, operational reporting, and compliance monitoring.\nIdentify and mitigate operational risks by assessing service impact, implementing appropriate mitigation measures, and supporting incident and safety management processes.\nWork with clients and stakeholders to understand technical requirements, resolve queries, collect service feedback, and improve service adoption and delivery.\nRequirements\nRequirements\n3-5 years of experience in business-as-usual (BAU) field operations, including routine maintenance, monitoring, change management, and operational support.\nExperience delivering or supporting managed infrastructure services in on-premises and/or cloud environments.\nUnderstanding of managed services delivery models, service-level agreements (SLAs), operational governance, performance measurement, and service reporting.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use operational data to inform technical decisions and improvements.\nGood communication and technical writing skills, including the ability to prepare operational documentation and compliance evidence.\nAbility to work with clients, site personnel, and cross-functional technical teams to resolve operational issues and deliver service improvements.\nNice to Have\nExperience with cloud infrastructure and services on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud.\nWorking knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible, and scripting with Python.\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.\nHands-on experience with SG-TechStack products, including StackOps and SHIP-HATS.\nExperience deploying or configuring government-mandated solutions such as ABLR and CAMS.\nExperience leading or coordinating technical teams, including field engineers.\nExperience supporting multi-site field operations.\nAbility to gather customer requirements, analyse operational needs, and contribute to business case development.\nBenefits\nJoin a technical team working on infrastructure and operations that support Singapore Government digital services.
