This position requires the ability to interpret prints and work orders, maintain close tolerances, operate tools and equipment safely, and ensure completed work meets established specifications.\nPay Rate: $26.88 per hour Shift Differential: Additional $0.85 per hour, where applicable One-Year Pay Increase: Increases to $31.62 per hour on the employee’s one-year anniversary date\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nReceive and interpret instructions, prints, and work orders.\nPlan and perform a wide variety of assembly operations.\nMaintain close tolerances and proper alignment.\nRig and operate the department crane to handle, move, and position parts and units.\nUse a variety of equipment, tools, fixtures, instruments, and gauges.\nApply sound knowledge of work practices, techniques, and equipment operation to complete complex assignments.\nPlan and execute difficult or non-routine work assignments.\nPerform gasket-cutting operations.\nApply adhesives and gasketing to heat exchangers as required.\nLubricate and clean equipment daily.\nInspect completed work using gauges and other measuring instruments.\nEnsure products and components meet specifications and work-order requirements without deviation.\nTake responsibility for the quality of completed work.\nFollow all safety procedures and shop rules.\nAssist with training new employees within the job classification.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nMinimum of one year of manufacturing assembly experience.\nAbility to pass a written test.\nAbility to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.\nAbility to safely use hand tools, fixtures, equipment, and measuring instruments.\nPhysical and Work Environment Requirements\nAbility to lift approximately 30-35 pounds.\nAbility to stand, reach, bend, and move throughout the facility regularly.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing-floor environment.\nRegularly required to listen, communicate with employees, and visually inspect work and surroundings.\nMust be able to follow required safety procedures and wear applicable personal protective equipment.\n\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
