You'll play a key role in shaping electrical design strategy, driving engineering best practice, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineered systems from proposal through to commissioning.\nAs Electrical Engineering Team Leader, you will:\nLead, mentor and develop a team of 4-6 Electrical Engineers and Designers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.\n\nManage day-to-day activities, resource planning and workload prioritisation for the Electrical Engineering team.\n\nReview and interpret customer specifications, contract documentation and industry standards, translating requirements into compliant engineering solutions.\n\nOversee the preparation and quality of electrical design deliverables, ensuring designs meet customer, regulatory and company requirements.\n\nProvide technical leadership across electrical equipment selection, specifications and procurement activities, including control panels, MCCs and transformer rectifiers.\n\nSupport proposal and project teams by providing technical guidance, reviewing scope documents and contributing to client-facing discussions.\n\nReview and approve key engineering documentation, including:\nControl Philosophies\n\nFunctional Design Specifications\n\nCause & Effect Charts\n\nLogic Diagrams\n\nEquipment Specifications\n\nWork closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure process, control and electrical aspects are effectively coordinated.\n\nSupport manufacturing, installation, commissioning and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), acting as a technical representative for customers when required.\n\nDrive quality assurance, document control and continuous improvement activities across the engineering function.\n\nEnsure safe design principles are embedded throughout all projects, incorporating Human Factors Engineering and ergonomic considerations.\n\nWe're seeking a motivated engineering leader with a strong technical background and a passion for developing people.\nEssential\nDegree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.\n\nProven experience in electrical design engineering within an industrial, process, manufacturing or engineered systems environment.\n\nExperience leading, supervising or mentoring engineering teams.\n\nStrong understanding of electrical design principles, equipment specification and technical review processes.\n\nAbility to interpret complex technical documentation, specifications and engineering standards.\n\nExcellent problem-solving, organisational and project prioritisation skills.\n\nStrong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.\n\nProficiency with engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.\n\nDesirable\nExperience within water treatment, water technologies or process industries.\n\nKnowledge of electrochlorination systems.\n\nPLC programming experience.\n\nFamiliarity with ATEX, IECEx and HAZOP methodologies.\n\nExperience working to major petrochemical specifications such as BP or Shell standards.\n\nUnderstanding of manufacturing, installation and commissioning processes.\n\nYou'll be joining a business that delivers critical water treatment and technology solutions worldwide, providing an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while helping shape the future of a growing engineering team.\nThis role offers a unique combination of:\nTechnical leadership\n\nTeam development and mentoring\n\nClient engagement\n\nProject delivery responsibility\n\nCareer growth within a global engineering organisation\n\nIf you're ready to take the next step in your leadership career and make a tangible impact on innovative water technology projects, we'd love to hear from you.\nJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
