We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.\nEssential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:\nExposure to hardware development processes for embedded electronics and power electronics products.\nPerform technical feasibility studies and support hardware architecture/design activities for embedded electronics and power electronics products.\nDesign, develop, test and validate embedded electronics and power electronics hardware circuits and subsystems.\nWork on schematic design, component selection, PCB review and hardware integration for embedded electronics and power electronics applications.\nUse ECAD tools, especially Altium for schematic capture and PCB design support.\nPerform simulation and analysis of power electronics circuits and subsystems using tools such as Altium, PSIM and OrCAD.\nSupport design and development of hardware for Electrical control devices, wired/wireless communication gateway, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), power converters and motor control products.\nParticipate in prototype bring-up, debugging, design verification and validation testing.\nConduct engineering analysis to evaluate product concepts, design performance, reliability and manufacturability.\nCollaborate with firmware, mechanical, test and system engineering teams for product development and integration.\nParticipate in FMEA, risk assessment and design review activities.\nGenerate and maintain design documents, test reports, verification records and engineering change documentation.\nInterface as needed with product management, manufacturing, quality, customers, marketing and sales in providing technical guidance on developed products.\nBe proactive in understanding product/service roadmaps and the implications of new features with peer engineers or self-training.\nUnderstanding of EMI/EMC, thermal considerations, safety and reliability requirements for power electronics designs.\nFamiliarity with product development lifecycle and engineering release processes.\nExposure to collaboration with firmware/software teams in embedded electronics and power electronics systems.\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:\n4-Year bachelor’s degree / 4 + 2-Year Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication\n5-10 Years of Embedded Electronics and Power Electronics Hardware design and development.\nHands-on experience in hardware design and development for embedded electronics and power electronics products such as electrical/electronics controls, wire/wireless communication, power converters, inverters and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).\nProficiency in ECAD tools, especially Altium.\nExperience with simulation and design tools such as Altium, PSIM and OrCAD.\nGood understanding of analog and digital circuits, gate drive circuits, magnetics, power stages, protection circuits and control hardware.\nExperience in schematic design, PCB layout review, hardware debugging and validation testing.\nFamiliarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, power analyzer, etc. The current JD already includes lab equipment experience expectations.\nKnowledge of electronics design and power electronics design applications are preferred.\nThe current JD also expects experience generating design, test and verification documents.\nGood problem-solving, testing and debugging skills.\nAble to work in multi-disciplinary and remote-located teams.\nAdditional Information:\nWorking Conditions\nundefined Electrical test labs, high voltage potentials.\nPump controls & test machines and rooms, high voltage potentials, mechanical hazards (moving machinery), high temperature hazards (hot metal, sparks)\nOccasional travel, both domestic and international\nStamina and Adaptability\nundefined\nCapable of working with cross functional team\nAdaptability to work with different work culture, time zones.\nExtensive lab testing, moving small equipment, etc.\nJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
