At Xylem, you will have the opportunity to solve water by participating in our paid Volunteer Program, Xylem Watermark!\nTHE ROLE: The Level 2 Field Technician will be responsible for start-up and commissioning of projects, preventative maintenance, and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites. Product specific training will be provided. Will interact with customers.\nWe offer a full benefits package to include 4 WEEKS Paid Time Off (PTO) for hourly positions, health, dental, vision, investment savings plan, and other additional miscellaneous benefits.\nCORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily after sufficient training provided.\nEvaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps\nTroubleshooting of electrical control panels\nGeneral understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams\nPerform start-ups and train customers on the equipment\nPreventative maintenance and emergency call-outs \nOperating and maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggers\nOperating industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.\nWorking with various company provided hand and power tools\nAccurate record keeping inside Xylem’s work order management system\nCreate and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization and following protocols at customer locations\nTake care of company property \nDemonstrates high impact culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment \nMust be able to function in a team environment \nWork independently \nTravel Requirements:\nDaily local travel required\nUp to 50% overnight stays, depending on location \nPrehire requirements to operate company vehicle (provided by Xylem or candidate):\nDriver Application for Employment \nMotor Vehicle Report (MVR) \nDriver Disclosure and Release \nEmployee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement \nFMCSA Certificate of Awareness \nDriver Certificate of Violations \nDriver Statement of On Duty Hours - if applicable\nRoad Test \nCopy of Driver’s License \nCopy of Medical Certificate \n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation Requirements\nHS diploma or equivalent \nExperience Requirements:\n2-5 years of technical work experience \nSkill Requirements:\nElectrically and mechanically proficient \nDemonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability \nComprehend technical information and communicate it clearly \nExperience with Microsoft Office and smart devices \nDAY IN THE LIFE:\nIn this role, the working environment is frequently outdoors at customer locations or in an industrial shop setting where use of PPE is required. May also include exposure to various environmental factors, hazardous materials, including sewage, and loud noises. The physical demands may include but not limited to driving, standing, possible exposure to heights and lifting up to 50 lbs, In addition, this role may require overtime and travel.\nSALARY:\nThe estimated salary range for this position is $30.23 to $36.44. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
