This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving operational challenges, implementing innovative solutions, and driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.\nWorking closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams, you'll play a key role in enhancing manufacturing performance while supporting the production of industry-leading water technology solutions.\nWhat You'll Do:\nProject Management\nLead the development and execution of manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.\nDevelop project plans, schedules, and milestones while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.\nMonitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders and leadership.\nProcess Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, productivity, quality, and efficiency.\nImplement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and lower costs.\nConduct process audits and recommend improvements based on data and operational performance.\nTrain and support team members on new processes and best practices.\nProduction Planning & Operations Support\nSupport production planning and scheduling activities to meet customer demand.\nAnalyze production data and recommend improvements to increase throughput and operational effectiveness.\nPartner with Supply Chain teams to ensure timely material availability and production flow.\nQuality & Continuous Improvement\nSupport the development and maintenance of quality standards and manufacturing procedures.\nConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues.\nEnsure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.\nCost & Budget Management\nSupport manufacturing budget planning and cost control initiatives.\nIdentify and implement cost-saving opportunities.\nTrack project expenses and help ensure budget adherence.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.\n4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production systems.\nExperience leading continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or process optimization initiatives.\nProficiency with CAD software and manufacturing systems.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience supporting capital projects and manufacturing process development.\nKnowledge of production planning, quality systems, and manufacturing performance metrics.\nExperience working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.\nJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
