This role is responsible for leading both the tactical execution and strategic direction of the facility's machining and brazing operations.\nThe successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, balancing daily production requirements with continuous improvement, operational excellence, and long-term manufacturing strategy. This individual will lead teams, drive productivity improvements, champion safety initiatives, and ensure production schedules and project objectives are achieved.\nThis is a second-shift position with scheduled hours between 2:30 PM and 12:00 AM EST. Flexibility to work overtime as needed to support production requirements, business objectives, and customer demand is required.\nCore Responsibilities\nLead all day-to-day machining and brazing operations, including staffing, production scheduling, capacity planning, and execution of manufacturing objectives.\nDrive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement through implementation of operational excellence and 5S initiatives.\nDevelop and execute strategic plans to improve productivity, efficiency, equipment reliability, and overall manufacturing performance.\nRecruit, train, develop, and coach team members while establishing standard work processes and ensuring workforce readiness.\nLead process improvement and capital projects, ensuring milestones, budgets, and timelines are achieved while supporting long-term operational goals.\nProvide technical leadership and expertise in machining, fabrication, welding, and brazing processes, including application of ASME code requirements and manufacturing best practices.\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.\nExperience\n3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment.\nDemonstrated experience leading manufacturing operations, production teams, technical projects, or process improvement initiatives.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong leadership and team development skills.\nEffective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrong organizational and planning abilities.\nAbility to drive operational improvements through data-driven decision making.\nPreferred Qualifications\nDegree concentration in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.\nExperience with manufacturing automation and robotic integration.\nKnowledge of ASME code requirements and welding/brazing best practices.\nLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification.\nDemonstrated experience leading large-scale projects.\nExperience implementing continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.\nAbility to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds and frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.\nAbility to stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.\nAbility to climb ladders and stairs when necessary.\nGood vision and hearing.\nWork Environment\nWork is performed in a manufacturing plant environment and may involve exposure to machinery, noise, dust, fumes, high-voltage electrical systems, and occasional outdoor weather conditions.\nThe estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to 95,000 USD.
