This role involves overseeing all aspects of production activities, maintaining workflow efficiency, and supporting a safe and compliant work environment.\nWork Environment: This position operates in both a climate-controlled office and a manufacturing plant setting. Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds and extended periods of exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments.\nShift Requirements: First or Second Shift Operations. Location: 30 Globe Avenue Texarkana, AR 71854\nCORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily for managing a manufacturing value stream:\nResponsible for supervising all employees within their area of responsibility to achieve daily production demands in the most efficient manner possible.\n\nResponsible for evaluating each employee in regard to productivity, attitude and initiative.\n\nMust assure compliance with all company policies and take disciplinary action when required in a fair and equitable manner.\n\nMust assure that individual and departmental efficiencies and utilization goals are sustained.\n\nMust assure that all production schedules are met to maintain a 97% minimum “On Time Delivery” level.\n\nMust assure that all safety and environmental standards are maintained to the highest level.\n\nMust communicate with all levels of management and supply production demand data as required by all levels of management.\n\nMust maintain accurate attendance information for each employee under their responsibility.\n\nMust assure that each employee receives the proper training with regard to Machine Operation, health and safety.\n\nMust adhere to all “Articles and Sections” of the collective bargaining agreement with the USW.\n\nMust maintain a clean and orderly production area.\n\nParticipate in training activities, both on and off site.\n\nParticipation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh School diploma, Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree desired or equivalent applicable work experience.\n\nAnalytical abilities sufficient to handle all issues associated with supervision.\n\nInterpersonal skills necessary to deal with employee issues and concerns.\n\nKnowledge of organizational policies, procedures and operations.\n\nWorking knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreement.\n\nMust be able to handle confidential information and project assignments.\n\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.\n\nMust be good and effective with written and verbal communications.\n\nDAY IN THE LIFE: the working environment is both an indoor climate-controlled office and plant manufacturing environment. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
