This role focuses on essential planning support, including gathering, organizing, preparing, and distributing production paperwork to the shop floor. In addition, the Planning Support Specialist will assist with documenting and organizing standard work to help improve consistency and efficiency across the planning function. This is an entry-level, hourly position well-suited for someone interested in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations who is looking to gain hands-on experience and grow their skill set over time.\nCORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nPlanning & Paperwork Support\nPrint, gather, assemble, and prepare production paperwork and job packets required for shop floor execution\nSort, organize, and distribute production documents to the appropriate manufacturing areas\nEnsure paperwork is accurate, complete, and delivered on time to support daily production activities\nMaintain organized physical and digital files for planning and production documentation\nShop Floor Coordination\nServe as a point of contact between the Planning team and the shop floor for paperwork-related needs\nDeliver and retrieve documents from manufacturing areas as required\nCommunicate missing, unclear, or inconsistent information to planners for resolution\nStandard Work & Process Support\nSupport planners in documenting standard work for recurring day-to-day planning activities\nHelp organize planning procedures, task lists, and reference materials into a clear, usable structure\nMaintain and update planning documentation as processes change\nAssist with efforts to standardize planning workflows and improve consistency\nGeneral Planning Team Support\nProvide coverage support for planners during vacations or absences, as appropriate\nAssist with data gathering, system updates, reporting, or ad-hoc tasks under planner guidance\nSupport additional planning-related work or projects as business needs evolve\nParticipate in continuous improvement activities focused on reducing non-value-added work\nQUALIFICATIONS :\nBachelor’s / associate’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet daily deadlines\nWillingness to take on a variety of tasks, including work that may not be clearly defined\nComfortable working in both office and manufacturing floor environments\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)\nJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
