This hands-on leader directs and develops the production team, ensures flawless execution of manufacturing processes, and champions continuous improvement. With a focus on best practices and strict regulatory compliance, the supervisor keeps operations running at peak performance while delivering results that meet and exceed expectations.\nShift: Monday - Friday - 8 hour shift, 8AM to 4PM (Additional hours as required to meet the objectives of the department)\nResponsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: 30+ direct Reports\nProvide guidance and direction to production team\n\nLead and motivate team to meet production goals\n\nConduct performance evaluations and provide feedback\n\nIdentify and address any issues or conflicts within the team\n\nProduction Planning and Coordination:\nDevelop and implement production schedules\n\nCoordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow\n\nAnalyze production data and make recommendations for improvements\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve any production related issues\n\nQuality Control:\nEnsure products meet company quality standards\n\nConduct quality inspections and audits\n\nImplement and maintain quality control procedures\n\nAddress any quality issues or concerns in a timely manner\n\nBudget and Cost Management:\nMonitor and control production costs\n\nIdentify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements\n\nPrepare and track production budgets\n\nMake recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.\n\nCommunication and Reporting:\nCommunicate production updates and issues to upper management\n\nProvide regular reports on production progress and performance\n\nCoordinate with other departments for product launches or changes\n\nMaintain open and clear communication with production team members.\n\nTeam Management:\nUnderstand team dynamics and effective management practices. This includes setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and adapting strategies as necessary.\n\nQualifications:\nHigh School diploma with at least 4 years of industry experience, 1+ year experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.\n\nIn-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.\n\nExperience with developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures.\n\nExcellent organizational and time management skills.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nProficiency in inventory management software and systems.\n\nXylem does not provide visa sponsorship for this position\nThe estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
