We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.\nSenior Mechanical Project Engineer - Water Treatment\nThe Role\nWe’re looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to take a leading role in the mechanical design and engineering delivery of bespoke water treatment projects.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys taking ownership of technically challenging projects, working closely with customers and collaborating across engineering, project management, manufacturing and commercial teams.\nYou’ll lead the mechanical design deliverables for projects involving ATG UV, Wallace & Tiernan chlorine gas feed, OSEC, analyser and controller technologies, while also supporting other treatment technologies where required.\nYou’ll also work closely with our Global Capability Center engineering team in India, coordinating and delegating engineering activities to support the capacity of the UK Treatment Engineering team.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nTake ownership of mechanical design and engineering support across customer projects.\nReview customer specifications, industry standards and national regulations to ensure designs are compliant.\nProduce and coordinate detailed mechanical designs, engineering calculations, manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials and project documentation.\nDevelop P&IDs, layouts and detailed manufacturing drawings using 2D and 3D CAD.\nWork with colleagues to resolve design issues arising during manufacture, installation, commissioning and operation.\nApply good engineering practice to eliminate hazards and mitigate design risks, including responsibilities under Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.\nPrepare control philosophies, functional design specifications and equipment specification sheets.\nOwn and support the UK Treatment team's CAD systems, processes, drawing standards and Vault system.\nCollaborate with project management, production, sales, procurement, QA, customers and suppliers.\nAttend customer and contract meetings and undertake site surveys and equipment inspections when required.\nSupport projects requiring UK and international travel.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nA mechanical engineer who is comfortable taking ownership of projects and solving complex engineering challenges.\nIdeally, you’ll bring:\nA mechanical engineering/design qualification at HND, degree level or equivalent.\nStrong mechanical design and problem-solving capability.\nStrong working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD.\nExperience interpreting technical specifications, engineering information and drawings.\nA good understanding of manufacturing and production methods.\nExcellent attention to detail and an organised approach to planning and prioritisation.\nStrong communication, presentation and technical reporting skills.\nThe ability to coordinate engineering resources effectively across multiple project requirements. \nDesirable experience:\nATEX / IECEx\nHAZOP\nSAP \nExperience of water industry specifications such as WIMES.\nWhy This Role?\nThis is a role with genuine engineering ownership.
