You will help maintain a consistently high level of customer service while providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders.\nYou will work closely with customers, the external sales team and colleagues across the organisation, applying your technical knowledge to the selection of pumps and associated ancillary equipment.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nRespond to customer enquiries received by telephone and email.\nSupport customers by interpreting their questions, requirements and technical information.\nDevelop competence in the selection of pumps and related ancillary equipment.\nBuild an in-depth understanding of internal sales processes and procedures.\nSupport the Tendering Team in providing accurate and timely responses to customers.\nWork towards agreed departmental KPIs and targets, as prioritised by the Department Manager.\nMaintain accurate records and support the review and improvement of procedures.\nDevelop professionally and personally through continuous learning and constructive feedback.\nCollaborate effectively with colleagues across different teams, functions and locations.\nComply with all applicable health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and standards.\nKey Competencies\nA strong willingness and drive to learn.\nConfidence to ask questions and actively listen.\nGood numerical and problem-solving skills.\nClear and effective communication skills.\nA friendly, approachable and confident manner.\nStrong teamwork and collaboration skills.\nGood organisation and the ability to work to deadlines.\nA continuous improvement mindset.\nThe ability to collaborate across team and organisational boundaries.\nA willingness to take ownership and demonstrate accountability.\nSkills and Experience\nEssential\nPrevious experience in a customer service role, handling enquiries and/or complaints.\nExperience of working in a fast-paced environment and supporting customers by telephone and email.\nStrong spoken and written English.\nA professional, polite and customer-focused approach.\nGood organisational and communication skills.\nDesirable\nPrevious experience within an engineering or technical environment.\nExperience working with engineers or technical teams.\nExperience within the water industry.\nTechnical engineering knowledge or experience.\nExperience using SAP S/4HANA or another bespoke business system.\nA degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM discipline: Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.\n#LI-Hybrid\nJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
